Happy Gut, Happy Body, Happy Mind Detox Program

Have you tried medications for your GI health or joint pain with no success? Would you like to feel in control of your health and possibly save money on healthcare costs? With our Happy Gut, Happy Body, Happy Mind Detox Program, you can feel clear, energetic, uplifted, and empowered with the ability to take control of your own health. This program is highly successful and life-changing. It improves symptoms of IBS/constipation/diarrhea, gastritis, fatigue, joint pain, low immune function/frequent colds, weight gain, sinus issues/post nasal drip, headaches, anxiety/depression, skin issues, and many other complaints. Although weight loss is not a focus of the program, most people do lose weight and continue to do so after the program.

Dr. Meyers will lead you through a 1 month, individualized program that involves 4 group classes. The first two weeks of the diet involves avoiding foods that are pro-inflammatory or common allergens, possibly including wheat, dairy, soy, corn, eggs, and sugar. We will provide you with plenty of support and information, answer all of your questions along the way, and give you delicious recipes and healthy food choices. Participants generally feel the best they have felt in many years. During the second two weeks we add foods back in slowly, learning about the body’s response to foods as we do so.

At Waterleaf, we believe in individualized medicine so despite the group class form of this program, your program will be individualized. Dr. Meyers individualizes recommendations (dietary and herbal) based on each person’s symptoms and motivations. A large amount of what each person is doing is the same or very similar though, making the group support incredibly valuable.

You will learn so much about your body, how eating certain foods make you feel, how to eat whole foods, about delicious and healthy new foods, and just how great you can feel!

Dr. Meyers answers common questions about the Happy Gut, Happy Body, Happy Mind Detox Program:

The beautiful thing about this program is that there are so many yummy foods you can still eat, including nuts, nut butter, fruits, vegetables, rice, quinoa, beans, humus. One of my favorite discoveries when doing this diet for the first time in naturopathic medical school was hazelnut butter on rice crackers. Yum!
It is very helpful to do the program with a partner or friend. My patients who do the program with a spouse are usually very successful. We recommend that anyone doing the diet, should sign up for the program or at least come in to see us as a patient. Any children starting the diet should be seen by one of the doctors first.
Very! If you are committed, the potential for healing is tremendous.  My favorite aspect of this diet/cleanse/detox is the education involved. Patients learn so much about their bodies, food, and how their bodies react to certain foods. I did this program for the first time while in naturopathic medical school, and it was an integral part of my education.
No, it is fine if the program is your first experience with our clinic.
No! Individuals partaking in the program are able to enjoy a wide variety of filling foods and are allowed to eat plenty.
Refraining from alcohol and coffee during the program is best. Although it may sound difficult to wean off of coffee, we will discuss how to deal with this transition. After a bit of time patients often report feeling more energy when they are off coffee.
You can sign up for the program by clicking on the link above.
Right now! If you are motivated, right now is the best time. Although you do want to make sure that you have the room in your life for such a commitment and time of self-nurture. This program involves planning (particularly the first few days), regular grocery shopping, eating at home, cooking, and some mental fortitude. The first week is the hardest and then you will be loving life.
Yes, but there are a few restaurants that will be more suited for your needs. You can also go to parties and social events. We will give you the tools you need to maneuver such events.
